Hamilton Beach 33967 Set 'n Forget 6-Quart Programmable Slow Cooker Review
This is my third crock pot. Had to trash the last one because the heating element was very hot, and I arrived home one too many times to find our dinner charred beyond eating. I searched the reviews, bought this one 6 months ago, and I'm so glad I did.br /br /Features I like the best:br / If I'm gone all day and the food only needs to cook for 6 hours, it automatically switches to Keep Warm so the food doesn't get overcooked.br / The meat probe really works to time the cooking for when a roast or other large meat is done.br / The locking lid and big handles make it great to put in the car and bring for pot lucks (no spilled chili on the car's floor when you make a quick stop.)br /br /Honestly, I can't think of any negatives. I use the crock pot at least once a week, especially during winter and this one is the best. I recommend it.

Set it and You Better Check on It! - Anne L. Mann - Katy, Tx usa
I bought this about a month ago and have used it many times. Some things have come out well and others not so well. The catch is this cooker cooks fast and hot even on the low setting. I am a full time home maker so I am able to keep an eye on it all day and change the settings up or down depending on what it seems to need. But if I had to leave it alone all day I would not trust it. If you use the probe make sure it is a big piece of meat so the probe can reach the center. Otherwise the cooker will switch to warm before the meat is done. I am still on a learning curve with this cooker because I have never owned a crock pot before. Once again this is an okay product if you are a stay at home person but for office workers I would find a different product.
Perfect for my large family! - Xina143 - Culpeper, VA USA
Before I bought this one, I had a smaller, round crockpot, which worked fine for us when the kids were little. But fast forward a few years and add a few more boys to the mix and my old crock pot just wasn't working for us. br /br /I actually purchased this model at Costco about 4 years ago, and I have to say-I LOVE IT! The oval shape makes it more conducive to larger pieces of meat. I don't often use the temperature probe, but when I have I have had no problem getting an accurate reading. It is easy to program, and very user friendly.br /br /This was well worth the money, and sees a lot of use in my house.
